More detail on this person: Donn M Rasmussen Donn M. RAMUSSEN Donn Rasmussen passed away on December 3, 2002 in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born March 11, 1950 in Spokane. A 1968 graduate of Newport High School he participated in all sports. Donn was the epitome of the '60's cool teenager and had everything, especially the love of his family. He loved jazz and rock and roll and had his own band in high school. Shortly after graduating from high school he joined the Army. Donn flew helicopter in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1971 for his courage and skills. He had two sons David and Craig with his wife Jane. Following Vietnam Donn was a career pilot and became a creative aerial photographer. He was nicknamed "Raz" and flew for various companies in Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and Africa for over 25 years. His family will dearly miss him. Survivors include his sons, his mother Eloise of Bellevue and three brothers Mark, Jon and Tom. His father Clyde died in 1992. A memorial service for Donn will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3030 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, Washington on Monday, December 16 at 3:00 PM.
