More detail on this person: It saddens me to
receive this message I worked with Kurt on the
UH60A Simulator Program, he was my Army
Program Manager, I was the Lead Quality Control
Flight Specialist for Singer-Link, we worked
together for over three years, developing the Sim
and then deploying it to various Army Facilities
throughout the Continental US and abroad. Kurt
was a good guy, we called him "Maj Roadapple", he
drove a Corvette and always wore a leisure suit
off duty, he had the philosophy of GOE (Go Ugly
Early), he always sat near the ladies room in
bars, I asked him why and he said; "because
sooner or later you will see every woman in the
place", we worked hard, we played hard and always
got the job done on schedule and on budget. I
enjoyed working with Kurt and often wondered
where Kurt got to, never saw him again after we
completed the 2B38 Blackhawk Simulator Program.
Nothing but good memories of "Maj Roadapple".
May God rest his soul and bless his family and
friends, Go with God my friend. This information was last updated 05/18/2016

Today, Kurt's wife Nan (most widely known as
"What's Her Name") notified me that Kurt (also
known as "Finger's") has passed from us. May the
Lord be with him. He died peacefully, in a place
where he was happy, well known and very, very
comfortable- Hooter's Orlando Airport in his usual
seat on the patio. Kurt requested no services be
held and Nan has requested that we remember him
by: .."Next time you'll are together have a Miller
Lite and think of something funny he did...". I
know that will not be a hard thing for any of us
to do. He gave us many funny moments that will
always be remembered.
Kurt was a Purple Heart Awardee for his bravery in
Vietnam as a gunship pilot. He served his country
valiantly while being wounded. He retired as a
Major USA after his last tour of duty as Executive
officer at PM TRADE. We all know that an enemy
round shot through the collective blew his right
index finger off. As a civilian, I always thought
he was just checking the windage while flying one
day!
Kurt is survived by Nan his wife of a thousand
years with complete understanding, his son David
and granddaughters Codie and Desiree and his
daughter Lisa and granddaughter Kassidy.
Please take a moment and remember a good time,
a funny time you shared with Kurt. If you will,
please share it with me and his family via email.
Nan will be getting his email
I personally first met Kurt at Jekyll Island one
year in the early 80's, shortly afterward we
worked together, but mostly then and now he was
my friend. Yes, I shared many funny times with
him. He was always quick witted, thoughtful and
ready to share his friendship. He had many
friends from the "industry", his neighborhood,
Boggy Creek Golf Course and from Hooter's.
Please pass this message on to someone that you
know who knew Kurt. Let us all pray for Kurt, Nan
and his children.
From a friend who will truly miss his humor and
friendship...Art , Arthur L. Banman
He was one of the early Cobra guys and taught in
country at Vung Tau. I believe he was instrumental
in starting the school.
