Ferrill Rodriguez, born May 29, 1938 in Biloxi, MS
passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Moss
Point, MS. Chuck was a decorated veteran of
service with the U. S. Army, having served two
tours of duty in Viet Nam as a Chief Warrant
Officer 3. He was a helicopter pilot that flew
multiple missions that repeatedly placed his life
in peril. He retired from the Army after 21 years
of dedicated service to his country. He continued
to use his flight skills as a pilot for Petroleum
Helicopters, Inc. Closing out his career, he
served in Safety Management for Ingalls
Shipbuilding. Always a very active person, he
loved pitching softball, hunting, fishing, yard
work, Golden Gloves boxing, seafood, and "all
things coastal." He was preceded in death by his
parents, a brother and a sister. He is survived by
his children, Mark (Missy) Rodriguez, Tracey Lynn
(Billy) Duren of Wilmer, AL, Charles "Chuck" Jr.
(Danielle) Rodriguez of Vancleave, MS, Courtney
Rene' (Derek) Sutherland of Gautier, MS and
Caitlin V. Rodriguez of Gautier, MS, 19
grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a brother,
Joey (Evelyn) Rodriguez of D'Iberville, MS,
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015
from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at Heritage Funeral
Home in Escatawpa/Moss Point, MS. Funeral
service will be at 12:00 pm in the chapel with
Bro. James Miller and Bro. Michael Perry
officiating. Military honors will be rendered at
the funeral home by the Honor Guard of American
Legion Post 160 of Pascagoula.
