More detail on this person: RODDY, Jr., Francis ''Frank'' Joseph Frank passed away on March 9, 2015 at his home in Sacramento, Calif., at the age of 78. Born February 1, 1937 in Philadelphia, Penn., the only son and eldest child of Agnes Bernadette (Curran) and Francis Joseph Roddy, Sr. Frank married Joanne Lois Arseneau, on August 6, 1960. Frank was a helicopter pilot in the US Army and served two tours in Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Flying Cross. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law; and brothers-in-law, James Arseneau, Ben Schemmel, and Paul Arseneau. Frank is survived by his wife Joanne of 55 years, children: Francis (Margaret) Roddy, III, Sharon (Leon) Racine, Mark (Tracie) Roddy, and James (Darrell Porcello) Roddy, grandchildren:, Nicole Racine, Keith (Tiffany) Racine, Michele Racine, Cameron, Corrine, and Crystal Roddy, great-grandchildren: Karissa and Talyia Racine, sisters:, Barbara (Ted) Dickard, and Rosemary Schemmel, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Visitation will be held at Lombard & Company Funeral Home at 1550 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, 03/16/15, Monday, 4 - 8 pm, Rosary 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at ST. Mary's Catholic Church, 1333 58th St, Sacramento, 03/17/15, Tuesday, 11:30 am. Committal Service to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
