More detail on this person: Wayne H. Rouson, 50, Big Lake Twnshp. Wayne H. Rouson, 50, Big Lake Township died at his residence on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, 11 a.m. at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello with Pastor John Farina officiating. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery of Minneapolis. He was born Dec. 20, 1947, in Oak Park, Ill. to Henry and Clara (Wegner) Rouson. He grew up in Illinois graduating from Lincoln Way Community High School of New Lenox. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-72. He served as a helicopter pilot and was decorated for his military service with two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and two Distinguished Flying Crosses with Valor. Following his military service, Wayne worked as a flight mechanic for Eastern Airlines and Midway Airlines for several years. Most recently, he worked in the construction of log homes. He is survived by a brother, Warren (Gerry) Rouson, Tinley Park, Ill.; and a sister, Sandra (Dan) Walraven, Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents.
