More detail on this person: Lt.Col Gregory Anton Rengel Lt.Col Gregory Anton Rengel, U.S.M.C., retired, 68, of Milton died Sunday, October 16, 2005, in Apple Valley, MN. Lt.Col. Rengel was born September 7, 1937 in Chicago, IL, and had resided in the Pensacola area since 1979. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, retiring in 1982 as a Lt.Col of Marines. He was an accomplished pilot that had flown many combat missions and trained many pilots. In 1981, he and his wife purchased the Wright Tackle Shop, which he owned and operated for 24 years. A very avid fisherman, Lt.Col Rengel enjoyed crafting customized fishing rods, building and flying radio controlled airplanes, as well as woodworking. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton, FL. His parents, Anthony Joseph and Annette Rengel, and sister, Barbara Whitesell preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosanne M. Rengel; daughter, Pamela A. Theis (Daniel C.); son, Tony Rengel (Jan); four grandchildren, Kristina, Christian, Gregory and Jared, all of Santa Rosa county; and a sister, Phyllis Savoie of Washington. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Fr. Dennis O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, with full military honors. Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2005. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pensacola News Journal 10/2005
