More detail on this person: James Forrest Ross, 56 Obituaries Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (AK) - Sunday, March 11, 2007 James Forrest Ross, 56, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at his residence. James was born on May 21, 1950, in Idaho. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran serving his country as a helicopter pilot and warrant officer. After retiring from the U.S. Army, James received his master's degree in business administration in Washington and later moved to Alaska. James was involved in many business enterprises. He was a banker, small business owner, real estate agent and was one of the original owners of The Food Factory. James was active in youth sports and enjoyed fundraising for his son's football, baseball and hockey teams. He also loved fishing and boating and took great pride in his cooking. James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Miriam Ross. He is survived by his son, Arron James Ross of Fairbanks; three sisters, Donna, Janet, and Sandy; brother, Bob; nephew, Darron; niece, Teresa; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, in the chapel at Fairbanks Funeral Home, 3704 Erickson Ave.
