Burial will be in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. He passed away Monday in Seven Points. Gary was born in Smith Center, KS on August 29, 1938 to Lloyd and Marguerite Stepp Reid. He retired from the US Navy and then worked for Texas Instruments and Vero Electronics. Gary was a Shriner, member of the honor guard and Post Commander for VFW Post #4376. He is survived by his wife Pat of Seven Points; son Allen Reid and wife Vicki of Garland, daughter Laurie Rice and husband Eddie of Plano, step daughter Donnna Haynes and husband Greg of Rowlett, step son Michael Glasenapp of Eustace, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 560089, Dallas, Tx 75356. Tomlinson Funeral Home Seven Points, Texas.
