More detail on this person: James M. Rice James M. Rice, 72, of Naples, died on Thursday, No vember 8, 2007 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 20, 1935 in Panama City, FL. He had been a long-time resident of Naples and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Rice retired as a major from the U.S. Army serving three tours in Vietnam. He was a commercial crabsman for many years. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl L. Perry; son, James Michael (Gretchen) Rice of Naples; daughter, Linda Sue Rice (Clyde Patterson) Lamb of Spring, TX; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Ann Elliott of Orem, UT and Nora Holder of Vidalia, GA. Mr. Rice was preceded in death by his first wife, Sigrid Rice in 1999.
