More detail on this person: Lung and bone
cancer.I received this message this morning from
the Otter-Caribou Association. I recall some
heycav traffic regarding a Bob Stafford a few
months ago. This Stafford was the tall slinder guy
that commanded the Birddog company at Phu Loi
around 67-68. I was Chinook company XO across
the airfield and Bob used to chew on me for
blowing his birddogs all over the place. He was a
good friend and soldier. I shall miss seeing him
at the Otter Caribou gathering. My feeble mind
seems to recall Roger Winslow as one of the
interested parties. Whom ever - regretably, I post
this for your benefit. Burial information: Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA

Darrel Basom sends the following regarding Bob
Stafford. Bob was an active member of the
association, always on the lookout for new
members, calling me with information about
prospects. Made all the reunions since joining
until San Diego. Bob was a special friend to many
of us and will be missed.
Bob passed away on Sun 11Feb--service will be
held at Ft Myer, 2:30 PM, Fri 23 Feb, with burial
in Arlington National Cemetery. Bob's request was
that in lieu of flowers, any donation should be
made to the hospice where he was for his last 3-4
weeks. That address: Casey House,6001
Muncaster Mill Road, Rockville, Md,20855. Bob
fought the battle of lung and bone cancer for the
last 6 months.
