Frank Leon Sweet was born December 5, 1948, in Chandler and died Thursday, November 15, 2007, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 58 years. Sweet was the son of Leo "Bud" and Dorothy Baker Sweet. He married Lynette Ann Cecil on May 20, 2002. Sweet served in the United States Army. He was a helicopter pilot and also worked as a police officer. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Lynnette of the home; one daughter and son-in law, Cathryn Kalyn and James Traenkner of Beaufort, SC; one stepson, Carol Kalevik of Tulsa; two stepdaughters, Sara Kalevik and Beka Kalevik of Tulsa; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Shirley Sweet of Chandler, one sister and brother-in-law, James and Shirley Sweet of Chandler, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Burton Bridges of Wellston [OK]; two step-grandsons; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler on Monday, November 19, 2007, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Sweet's ashes will be taken to Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC. Arrangements were under the direction of AdamsCrest Cremation Center in Tulsa.
