More detail on this person: This was received
from Roy Sudeck's wife. Roy was the reason I flew
Scouts. He was the greatest Cobra Pilot we had in
our unit and was also a great C&C Air Mission
Commander. He will be missed. I will not be
able to attend the service, but am aware some of
you knew Roy. This was the first battle I am
aware of that Roy lost. He will be missed. Many
of the guys from my unit will be at the memorial
service. He is on the other side now, prepping
an LZ for all of us. This information was last updated 01/27/2012

"It is with the greatest sadness that I write to
let you know that Roy has passed away. His final
breath came at 4 PM Friday, November 16. I cannot
even describe the void I am feeling but I do want
to thank each and everyone of you who have
followed his journey here on earth. I keep telling
myself he is in a better place and pain free, but
it doesn't take away the sadness I am feeling
right now. Roy was a very special husband,
soldier, father, mentor and all around guy. He is
irreplaceable and will forever live in my heart.
He is now my Guardian Angel and I look forward to
the day that I can join him once again. RIP my
love."

It is with much sadness that I write to let those
of you who knew and flew with Roy Sudeck that he
has lost his 2+ year battle with cancer and is now
flying high above us with God. Roy passed away
Friday, November 16 and I am ever so grateful that
I was with him at the end. Roy touched many lives
throughout his 65 years and will be missed by
many. I have lost the love of my life but will
carry on with the memories we created together.
If you would like me to send you the Arlington
Cemetery information on Roy I would be happy to.
He was laid to rest in Arlington Cemetery on
February 4, 2013 in Section 60 which is where they
are laying to rest the soldiers that passed in
Iraq and Afghanistan. His headstone location is
60-10259.
