More detail on this person: Donald Wade Soper, Jr. "Sope" was born on February 22,1936 in Decatur, Illinois and passed away on Tuesday April 26, 2016 in Fresno. "Sope" was many things to many people Husband, Father, Friend and fellow Marine., but above all, he was a man of integrity. His love of Family and Country ruled the day.

Don "Sope" Soper Jr. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Amelia Soper, brother Steven Soper, sisters Janice Newkirk, Carmen Lavarello, sons Don, Mike, John Soper daughter Lori Hunter, daughter in laws Judy, Terri, Lisa Soper and son in law Robert Hunter, grandchildren Michael and KerryLynn Soper, Casey and Daniel Edwards, Amanda and Adam Soper, Matthew, Mitchell and Mackenzie Soper and great grandson Morgan Soper. A legacy, of which, he was extremely proud.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Monday May 2 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at Scared Heart Catholic Church Tuesday May 3 at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Graveside service at St. Peter's Cemetery.
