More detail on this person: Phillip Ray Stone Phillip Ray Stone, 59, died Wednesday, June 23rd in Fritch. Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Stone was born on August 27, 1944 in Phillips. He had been a resident of Fritch for three years. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1963 and was a graduate of West Texas State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 as a captain, and served a tour of Vietnam in 1970 and 1971 as a helicopter pilot. He was coachman for the 62nd Aviation Unit. He was a warehouse manager for Texas Instruments from 1972 to 1974, and BNSF Engineer from 1974 to 2004. He was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Stone, in January 2003; his mother - Edna Stone in January 2004, and a brother - Eddie Stone. Survivors include his wife, Linda Phillips [sic] of Amarillo; one son - Phillip Brec Stone of Amarillo, two daughters - Stacy Tucker of Liberty, Mo. and Sarah Stone of Amarillo; a sister - Joyce Collins of Fritch, and six grandchildren - Payton Stone, Preston Stone, Justin Tucker, Grey Tucker, Inigo Baker and Addison Tucker.
