More detail on this person: Major Jack T.
Stewart was approved for a DSC on December 16,
2008 for his action in Viet Nam March 24, 1967
while serving as a Special Forces Captain. His
body was never recovered. It took nearly 42 years
to get approval as original request was lost in
1967. I received the DSC for his family from
Congressman John Carter, Texas on March 14,
2009 and have the medal in my possession.
Special Forces, Ft. Bragg is arranging formal
ceremony with his wife and children in April. If
