More detail on this person: Major Jack T. Stewart was approved for a DSC on December 16, 2008 for his action in Viet Nam March 24, 1967 while serving as a Special Forces Captain. His body was never recovered. It took nearly 42 years to get approval as original request was lost in 1967. I received the DSC for his family from Congressman John Carter, Texas on March 14, 2009 and have the medal in my possession. Special Forces, Ft.
