More detail on this person: Jerry " Joe " Sullivan Jerry " Joe " Sullivan, 66 of Orlando Florida passed away on Saturday, December 24th, 2011 in Orlando Florida. He was a Retired Veteran of the United States Navy. The family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at the Byars Funeral Home from the hours of 6-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 29th, 2011 at 9:30 AM at the Byars Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Jerry Joe Joseph Sullivan III , lost his 10 month battle with cancer in Altamonte Springs, FL at the age of 66. Joe was born in Atlanta, GA on September 26, 1945 to Jerry Joseph Sullivan II and Julia Hammock. He spent some of his childhood in Atlanta, but was raised in Tampa, where he attended Jesuit High School and The University of South Florida. He later joined the Navy and was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War. Joe retired from the Navy and settled in Orlando where he thoroughly enjoyed his position as a river boat captain at Walt Disney World. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Rita Sullivan, his daughters; Shannon Sullivan, Caitlin Sullivan, Kelly Patrick, and Erin Sullivan, his grandchildren; Trevor Broaddus, Devin Patrick, Jared Patrick, Brady Givens, Rory Smith, Jordyn Morse, and Sydney Morse, a brother, Jeff Sullivan, as well as nieces Jocelyn Taylor and Julia Sullivan.
