More detail on this person: Glenn William Summers Glenn William Summers, 68, of Olympia, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place. Born on May 28, 1940 in Ririe, Idaho, Glenn was the son of Eldon C. and Clella M. (Anderson) Summers. Glenn married Marvel Anne Rice in Billings, Montana on June 10, 1961 and she survives. After high school, Glenn joined the Army and served two tours in the Vietnam War. After over twenty years serving in the Army, Glenn received his Associates Degree and got a job for the state working as a drug and alcohol counselor. Glenn enjoyed the outdoors and being with his family. Besides his wife, Glenn is survived by two sons, Clayton and Kevin Summers; daughter, Lisa Lancaster; brothers, Garry and Cary Summers; sister, Penny May Summers Dalton; grandson, Travis Summers; and three granddaughters; Krystal Lancaster, Kelly Summers and Nickie Ordiway. Glenn was preceded in death by a brother, Kent Ardell Summers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nisqually building, 9341 4th Ave NE, Olympia. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deer Creek Cremation Garden, Lacey. Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Hospice House. Woodlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
