Bernard Patrick Sullivan, 81, of Radcliff, KY, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

CW4 (Ret) Sullivan served thirty two years in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War in which he did two tours of duty with the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). He was a dual-rated Master Army Aviator and instrument examiner. Among his many assignments he served with the original 2nd ROTC Flight Detachment, and flew with the flight detachments of ARRVI, and Fort Knox. After retirement Pat served as an SFTS instructor at Fort Knox Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian M. Sullivan of Radcliff; two daughters, Roxanne Sain of Fayetteville, NC. and Rosemary Bowlin of Tampa, FL; two sons, Michael Sullivan of Lenoir City, TN and John Sullivan of Louisville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a sister, Catherine Downey of Albuquerque, NM.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff. Burial was in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with military honors.
