More detail on this person: Donald Lee Scott Funeral services for Donald Lee Scott, 66, of Alex, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wed., Jan. 2, 2008 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Donald Lee Scott was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Chickasha, the son of Jack L. Scott and Augustine Jenkins Scott. He died Wed., Dec. 26, 2007 in Alex. Don graduated from Cordell High School in 1959. Don joined the U.S. Army in June of 1968 and retired in January of 1988 with the rank of Major. He married Karen Wagner while he was stationed in Ft. Knox, KY. While in the armed forces he served as a Field Artillery Officer. He was awarded many Medals of Honor during his career. The distinguished Flying Cross, 2 Bronze Service Stars, 2 Oak Leaf Cluster's, The National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral One Army Aviator Badge, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Unit Citation. After retirement he worked in Forney Texas at State Farm Insurance. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Scott. Survivors include his wife, Karen Scott, his mother Augustine Howe, his step-mother, Margie Scott; one son and daughter-in law, Chris and Regina Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebellee and Benny Dollar; six grand-children, Devin and Dylan Dollar, Kristin, Ashley, Tony and Tobi Williams; two great grandchildren, Kylie and Emma Rouse; two brothers and sisters-inlaw, Gerald and Rita Scott, Rick and Kathy Scott, and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Wed., Jan. 2, 2008 in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
