More detail on this person: Victor "Vic" Bernard Sarkissian, Jr. - SAVANNAH - Victor "Vic" Bernard Sarkissian, Jr. passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the age of 64. Born in Bronx, New York on July 29, 1944 he was the son of Eileen O'Reilly Sarkissian and the late Victor B. Sarkissian, Sr. He graduated from Villanova University in 1967. After graduating he enlisted in United States Army and served in the Vietnam War as a U.H. 1 Huey Pilot and obtained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. In 1971 he joined the International Longshoreman Association Local 1475. He retired May 31, 2008 after 37 years. He was a kind and generous man and throughout the years helped many people. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Joann Ehrhart. Surviving are, his wife of 35 years, Merrilou Sarkissian and his son, Victor Bernard Sarkissian, III; his mother, Eileen O'Reilly Sarkissian of Downingtown, Pennsylvania; three brothers, James Bernard Sarkissian of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Kevin Robert Sarkissian and wife Clare of Wilmington, Delaware and Bernard Joseph "BJ" of Downingtown, Pennsylvania; two brothers- in-law, David Bryan Hendrix of Ellabell, Georgia and Paul Burn Hendrix, Jr. and wife Jitaree of Stuart, Florida. Also surviving are four nieces and six nephews. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 11, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Active Pallbearers will be Tommie Tillman, Mike Moylan, Ralph Myrick, David Hendrix, Dave Frazier and Ernie Bagley. Remembrances to: St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
