More detail on this person: Paul Clifton Smithey Paul Clifton Smithey Northwest Florida Daily News (Fort Walton Beach, FL) - Sunday, November 4, 2012 Paul Clifton Smithey, of Niceville, Fla., passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 1, 2012. Paul was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Paul Thomas Smithey and Emerald O'Toole Smithey on Sept. 19, 1927. He served 27 years in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot and retired as a colonel. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia; daughter, Victoria L. Morgan; sons, Paul S. Smithey and David P. Smithey; grandchildren, Gina, Clif, Kim and Robert, David, Joseph, Rachel, Rebecca, Taylor, Toby and Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren. The immediate family will be sharing in a private memorial.
