More detail on this person: Donald Leroy St Mary, 67 Donald LeRoy St. Mary Dothan Eagle, The (AL) - Friday, July 28, 2006 AL United States Donald LeRoy St. Mary, a resident of Dothan, died early Thursday morning, July 27, 2006, at his residence. He was 67. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Byrd Funeral Home directing. Mr. St. Mary was born Jan. 1, 1939, in Bellingham, Wash., and lived the early years of his life in Yakima Valley, Wash. He was a 1958 graduate of Davis High School. In 1959, he joined the U.S. Air Force and transferred to the U.S. Army in 1968. He served two tours in Vietnam as a CH47 helicopter pilot and was later stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Mr. St. Mary retired from the U. S. Army in 1999 after 30 years of service. Most recently he was employed with AFS as an avionics technician on the Apache helicopters. Mr. St. Mary is predeceased by his parents, Donald Frank and Anna Miller St. Mary, two sisters, Marilyn Culler and Dorrie Lee Arnold and two daughters, Starla Lee and Sunny Guthridge. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Baxley St. Mary, Dothan; three sons, Bob Bowman and his wife, Shirley, Dothan, Michael Beaty, Panama City Beach, Fla., Pat St. Mary, Yakima, Wash.; three daughters, Marlene Chilcoate and her husband, Douglas, Talkeetna, Ak., Vicky Evelo and her husband, Mark, Tallahassee, Fla., Donna Chapman and her husband, Freddie, Dothan; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several special relatives including a nephew, John Arnold and his wife, Jill, Yakima, Wash.; two brothers-in-law, James Baxley, Dothan, Ben Spivey and his wife, Judy, Columbus, Ga.
