He was born December 19, 1944, Brownsville, TX to the late Jose Salazar and Maria (Silva) Boyle. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Salazar and brother, Ray Boyle. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Rosa Elva Salazar; mother, Maria Silva Boyle; son, Jose Salazar III and wife Gena; daughter, Adriana Saldana and husband Jeremy; son, Javier Salazar; daughter, Andrea Salazar; brothers, Albert and Tomas Salazar and Librado Silva; grandchildren, Coby Jeremy Saldana, Mason James Saldana, Jose Salazar IV, Jerad Riley Saldana, Sebastian Javier Salazar and Joshua Salazar. Visitation: 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, November 18, 2004 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 A.M., Friday, November 19, 2004 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
