More detail on this person: I am Roy Spalding Jr's daughter, Fiona Spalding-O'Neal. My father passed away on March 28, 1979. I was only 7 months old at the time, but I remember the day each year. My father was from Mesquite, TX or at least that was his perm address when he passed away. My grandfather Roy Sr. and my father were the first Father/Son Helicopter Flying Team in the Army.

Served in Vietnam from October 1967 thru October 1968. Graduated from college in 1974 and join the Air Force as a commissioned officer and was a navigator of the F4 Phantom 2 jet. While stationed in England, he was flying a training mission (nap-of-the-earth), had radar failure and crashed into a mountain on March 28, 1979.
