More detail on this person: Officially he died of a blood clot to the brain caused by a sudden heart attack. He was under doctors care for symptoms and was scheduled to have a stress test the day after he died. He never really got over Viet Nam... I believe in my heart he was an indirect casualty of the war. He served 2 tours of duty in Nam and was shot down 3 times. He served as an instructor at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in the early '70s. When faced with a 3rd tour of duty in '74-'75 he agonized over to retire or not. He never really settled into civilian life. I am not sure of his unit or the years he served his 2 tours, since I am the youngest in the family....but I know he started his career at Camp Campbell as a private and worked his way up. He enjoyed being a parachute instructor there during the early 60's.
