More detail on this person: William Robert Stiffler, 67 LTC (RET) William Robert Stiffler Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The (GA) - Sunday, July 28, 2013 STIFFLER, William R., LTC (RET) Rob was born in Bedford, PA September 24, 1946; he passed away at his home on July 25, 2013 after an extended illness. He began his Army career in 1966 training as a pilot with both Rotary and Fixed wing ratings to become a Master Aviator, Safety Manager and Aviation Accident Investigator. An avid outdoorsman Rob loved to hunt, hike, fish, canoe, camp, archery and competition shooting. His woodcarving skills turned a hunk of wood into a coveted work of art. Rob served many years as Scout Master for his sons Boy Scout troops. Rob enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, loving to travel and see the world. Rob was preceded in death by his father Bill Stiffler and brother Terry Stiffler. Rob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Burns Stiffler, his sons, Brian Stiffler (Christy), Eric Stiffler (Amanda), and Jim Popp; two grandchildren, Tucker Lake Stiffler and Eli Fisher Stiffler; his mother, Betty Stiffler; sisters Susan Medley and Sherry Broberg. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel.
