More detail on this person: Col. James Kenneth Streett STREETT, Col. James Kenneth (USAF Ret.), 77, of Plant City, Fla., fell asleep in the Lord August 28, 2004. Jim is survived by his wife, Kitty; children, Suzanne Whitmore of Lutz, Fla., Carol Nabakowski of Lutz, David Streett of Lewisville, Texas, Nancy Cackling of Tampa, Fla., and The Reverend Matthew Streett of Spotsylvania, Va.; his stepchildren include Tina Tiede of Lutz, Sherri Chancey of Webster, Fla., Cris Wyatt of Plant City, Fla., Toni Van Eyck of Plant City, Antoan Van Eyck of Plant City, and Kim Cagle of Tampa. His blessings included fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and countless other beloved relations. Twice a widower of Jean Potter, 16 years, the mother of four children, and of Shirley McCraven, 28 years, the mother of one child. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Marshall, Allen, and Robert. He graduated with Distinction from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Science, and receive his M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering, and M.S. in Instrumentatio n Engineering from the University of Michigan. He was a career Air Force officer, Vietnam veteran, pilot and engineer, and club secretary of Kiwanis International in Bellevue, Neb. After retiring from the service as a full colonel, he became a carpenter like his father before him. A dedicated servant of the Episcopal Church, he built altars and chapels, led bible studies, taught the faith to all ages by word and example, and built up Christ in all ways possible. A chivalrous man whose smile was eternal, and a patriarch blessed by all the generations of his descendants. May his memory be everlasting. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice in his memory. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church, with the Reverent Thomas Thoeni, The Reverent Dr. Robert Martin, and The Reverent Matthew Streett officiating. Interment will be at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Fla.
