More detail on this person: Mr Beryl Eugene Scott, 58 Beryl Eugene Scott Gainesville Sun, The (FL) - Thursday, March 6, 1997 ALACHUA - Beryl Eugene Scott of Alachua died Tuesday in Atlanta of a heart attack. He was 58. Mr. Scott was a helicopter pilot for Chevron Oil Co. He was born in Lone Star, Kan., and moved to Alachua from Houma, La., nine years ago. Mr. Scott was a U.S. Army warrant officer in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. He previously flew an emergency helicopter for Shands at AGH. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Radau Scott of Alachua; a son, Jason "Jay" Navarett of Alachua; a daughter, Helena Navarett of Alachua; and a sister, Joanne White from Topeka, Kan. Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
