More detail on this person: Kevin Stewart, son
of Jon Stewart who was also in Troop 'C', 1st
Squad, 9th Cav.,1st Cav. Division. He was a Huey
pilot. I don't know if he flew slicks or guns.
He was with the Cav. from '65-'66. I have been
researching on the internet to find more stuff
about my father and his tour in Vietnam. This information was last updated 05/18/2016

He died when I was 9 years old, due to a
helicopter accident in Indonesia in 1985...Yeah he
was still flying, I think by that time he had
accrued about 25 thousand hours plus by that
point...Anyways my mother Anh Ngoc Mai and I
moved back to Houston, TX. She passed away 4
years later.
So I have many questions about my fathers career
with the Cav. I have a homemade wooden Viking
helmet with 'bon voyage' signatures on it when he
left the unit to go to Air America, who he flew
for 6-7 years. The Viking helmet has wooden horns
on it with a painted Viking on it shooting guns
and
underneath says 2V2 Viking.
If any of this sounds familiar please let me
know...Send pictures, or links to websites I can
go to that can tell me a little about my fathers
unit or even some stories by some of his friends.
These have been life long questions I've been
trying to answer. I'm hoping the net can do it
for me.
