More detail on this person: Daryl Stoltenberg GRAND MEADOW -- Daryl Stoltenberg, 47, of Grand Meadow died Sunday (July 24, 1994) at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Rochester after a lengthy illness. Born July 12, 1947, in Stewartville, he attended elementary school in Stewartville, graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1965 and had attended Austin Vocational-Technical School. In 1968, he joined the Army and reached the rank of warant officer before his discharge in 1976 due to a disability. He was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. In April 1970, he married Connie Cummings and they were later divorced. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spring Valley where he served as elder and youth counselor, and was a member of the Grand Meadow American Legion. Survivors include two children, Daryn of Mankato, Minn., and Daesha of Stewartville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Stoltenberg of Spring Valley three sisters, Darlene (Mrs. Gene) Merkel of Spring Valley, Katherine (Mrs. Steve) Bernard of Kennewick, Wash., and Lynne Baudoin of Stewartville; and a brother, Kim of Stewartville. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Martin Koestler officiating. Burial will be in Grand Meadow Ceemtery, with military grave-side rites by the Grand Meadow American Legion. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Osland Funeral Home in Spring Valley and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. @et
