More detail on this person: I was crew chief in the Black Widows in 1969 and Tom Sweeney was the pilot assigned to 474 my ship while he was in the company. I flew many many mission with Tom and we continued to mail Christmas cards and letters back and forth until suddenly I lost track of him. I have been looking sense and he was the reason that I joined Heli-Vets many long years ago back when it formed.

He was a pilot in the second flight platoon. He was Aircraft Commander of 474 and flew it until he left Vietnam in late October 69? This a guess on my part, but I clearly remember him leaving and remember giving him a lighter that I had purchased and personalized for him. He was a friend, we tried to make arrangements to meet in Europe as I was stationed there after Vietnam but we could not make it work out. He was a dear friend and I was hoping to talk to him again. Feel free to pass my name on to his son as I would be glad to talk to him.

From: Lonnie Heidtke, CE Black Widow 474, C/101st AHB 68-69
