More detail on this person: Capt. Richard "Dick" Charles Strand, USN (Ret) Capt. Richard "Dick" Charles Strand, USN (Ret), 65, died on April 24, 2006. Born in Washington DC, Dick attended University of Rochester (NY) where he met his wife of 42 years, Vinnie. Dick proudly served his country as a Naval aviator for 25 years. After retiring from the Navy, he volunteered and later taught at Holley-Navarre Middle School. He is survived by his two children, Susan Smith of Tempe, AZ and Rich Strand of Fenton, MO, and five grandchildren. (obit provided by Earth Angel (#47237289)
