More detail on this person: Floyd John Tiemann, 85, died January 2, 2017 at Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley, KS.

He was born on August 2, 1931 in Lincoln, KS. the youngest of 8 children to Ferdinand E. and Anna C. Arkabauer Tiemann.

He was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln, KS. Floyd retired from the US Army after 21 years of service to his country.

On August 5, 1956, he married Mary Slentz in Lewis, KS., she survives. Other survivors include Three sons; Douglas Tiemann of El Paso, TX., Eric Tiemann of Lewis, KS., and Kirk Tiemann MD of Lubbock, TX., two sisters; Evelyn Finley and Olivia Smith, 5 Grandchildren; Kayla Tiemann, Austin Tiemann, Jerod Tiemann, Zachary Jon Tiemann, Matthew Jon Tiemann and one Great Granddaughter Amy Marie Tiemann.

He was preceded in death by Brothers Lloyd and Orvin Tiemann and Sisters Dolores, Mildred and Adeline.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 9am until 7pm at McKillip Memorial Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30pm in McKillip Memorial Chapel in Kinsley, KS. burial will follow in Wayne Cemetery in Lewis, KS.
