Jim served his country as a member of the Army Air Corps in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He was Director of Occupational Health, Safety and Security at NRG Energy. Jim loved life and will be missed by all. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Eleanor Thill; sister, Kathleen Hofstede; parents-in-law, Frank and Wanda Protas. Survived by wife of 33 years, Dianne; daughter, Jennifer; siblings, Roberta (Ronald) Bolanda, Sister Mary Thill, and Daniel (AnnaMarie) Thill; uncle Richard (Gloria) Thill; aunt Eleanor Urbanski; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. VISITATION:4-8 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM FUNERAL HOME, 515 Hwy 96 at Mackubin, Shoreview. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 835-2nd Ave NW, New Brighton, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. in the church. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to The Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio or donor's choice.
