More detail on this person: Major David A Thompson Major David A Thompson, 72, US Army, Retired, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2011.David was born in Louisville, KY, March 23, 1938 to the parents of Myrtle Marie Melton Thompson and William Trainer Thompson. While in School David met his high school sweet heart Provie "Naomi" Estes and on November 10th 1955 they were wed. To this union God graced them with 6 children, David A. Thompson, Jr, Diana Lynn Thompson Gither, James W. Thompson, Naomi Louise Thompson Barckley, Deborah Ann Thompson Hazen, and Linda Kay Thompson Hord. 10 Grand Children and 4 great grand children. David was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Marie Melton Thompson and William Trainer Thompson. A memorial service will be held in David's honor 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Cory Station, Pensacola. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Covenant Hospice House of Pensacola, FL or the Wounded Warrior Project. published by PNJ
