More detail on this person: Douglas Ross Thompson Douglas Ross Thompson Daily Ardmoreite, The (Ardmore, OK) - Sunday, January 26, 2003 o DURANT -- Memorial services for Douglas Ross Thompson, 64, Rockport, Texas, and formerly of Durant, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home Chapel with Skip Robinson officiating. Born Nov. 23, 1938, in Yarnabe, Okla., to Joseph Bailey and Gladys Cole Thompson, he died Jan. 22, 2003, in Rockport. He married former Ardmore resident Carol Gordon on June 3, 1960, in Stillwater. He graduated from Durant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Mark David Thompson, Spring, Texas, and Paul Steven Thompson, League City, Texas; a brother, Dale Thompson, Coronado National Monument, two sisters, Elaine Potts, Tampa, Ariz., and Joann Piatt, Ardmore; and three grandsons. Memorials can be made to AIM Hospice, P.O. Box 2300, Rockport, TX 73881.
