More detail on this person: Joseph Luke Tuck Joseph Luke Tuck, age 72, of Dresden, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home in Dresden, TN. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason, TN. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Mr. Tuck was born in Dresden to the late Earl Sanford and Clara Ruth Johnson Tuck. He attended Dresden First Baptist Church. Mr. Tuck was a Major (Ret) in the U.S. Army. He was attached to B Troop, 3 Squadron, 17th Air Cavalry. He was a decorated Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a helicopter pilot who was wounded in action near Saigon. He earned The Distinguished Flying Cross for gallantry and the Purple Heart. Mr. Tuck is survived by a son, Alan (Sarah) Tuck of Clarksville, TN; a daughter, Alana (Michael) Pursley of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda (Jim) Phelps of Gleason, and Carolyn (James) Clarke of Cornelia, GA; and his special friend, Dolores Wilkes of Maryville, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tuck was preceded in death by a son, Andy Tuck and a brother, Billy Ray Tuck. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dresden First Baptist Church, 490 Morrow, Dresden, TN 38225.
