More detail on this person: Chief Warrant Officer 3 William H. Tuttle Chief Warrant Officer Three William H. Tuttle was born on 4 December 1950 in Nogales, Arizona. He served at Fort Rucker, Alabama before arriving at Fort Campbell, Kentucky as an instructor pilot for Charlie Company, 158th Aviation Battalion in 1982. CW3 Tuttle died on 4 October 1983 while serving as an instructor pilot of a UH-60A, #999, when it crashed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Panama. The subsequent rescue mission failed to recover CW3 Tuttle's remains. CW3 Tuttle is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Josie; and son, Dominic. There is a memorial marker at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Section MA, Site 432 in Phoenix, Arizona. 04 OCT 83 CW3 William H. Tuttle [P] SP4 Richard J. Thompson [CE] CP injured Panama TF 160 UH-60A #78-22999 A/C crashed in Caribbean Sea approx 2 mi NE of Ft Sherman near the entrance to the Panama Canal.
