More detail on this person: I got a call yesterday from a 90 year old lady in Melbourne, FL concerning her deceased brother - MAJ Herbert W. "Mark" Trail, an Air Force helicopter pilot, that President Ike had "set up" the helicopter service from the White House to Camp David. She said that Mark passed away about two years ago in San Angelo, TX and is buried in the VA Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.

She asked if there is any published history of the Presidential helicopter service? Good question - I have read the USMC history of the "white tops" but I've never heard of an Air Force part of that service.

She promised to do some research on her side to determine date of death, etc. She told me that he did fly in Southeast Asia in the early days of the RVN war but could not provide details.

Her name is Dexter Johnson (an usual name for a lady), 700 S. Strawbridge Ave, Apt 306, Melbourne, FL 32901, 321-724-6977. She happened to hear about the Orlando Reunion and happened on my phone number. Maybe someone in her nursing home is a VHPAer - I don't know how she got info on us.
