class at San Marcos in September 1955 and the
tactics course in September 1955, where he
finished first in his class. He was then assigned
to the 184th Transportation helicopter company and
then sent him to helicopter school at San Marcos
and Fort Rucker. He was a plotoon leader in the
184th when it was assigned to Germany in 1956.
He was a graduate of the artillery school, the
transportation school advanced course and
command and general staff college. He servid two
tours in Vietnam and served in the Air Force and
Army for over 26 years and retired in 1976 from
the Army. He was buried in the National Cemetery
at Fort Sam Houston, TX.
