More detail on this person: James A Uren PILOT KILLED RENO (UPI) - A pilot was killed Friday when his helicopter crashed on Mt. Rose as he worked to remove the wreckage of a private plane which crashed three months earlier. James Uren, Castro Valley, Calif., was found by rescuers from Fallon Naval Air Station who had been prevented from landing for about two hours because of turbulent air at the 9,700-foot level of the mountain. Eventually, the airmen were able to meet other salvage workers at the site. They were not injured when Uren's craft fell. Uren was dead on arrival at a local hospital. A Lear Aviation spokesman said the crew was trying to remove the wreckage of a single-engine light plane which crashed above the timber line. The pilot walked away uninjured.
