More detail on this person: He died of cancer of the blood, after a very short illness.ALEX VIEGLAIS of Castro Valley, Ca passed on March 4, 2006. He served with the 188th AHC 1967 and C/101 Avn 101 ABN 1968. After Vietnam he was assigned to Germany and flew CH-34. After Germany he flew with the California Guard in Sacramento, CA. He went to work with the FAA at the Oakland Flight Service Station until his death. He still enjoyed flying, but because of cost, stuck to fixed wing.

A wife and family survive him. He died of cancer of the blood, after a very short illness. I worked with Al at Oakland Flight Service 1984-1987. A good guy, Mr. Rock Steady, and always dependable.
