More detail on this person: Chief Warrant Officer Carl Ventsam Leoti Pilot Dies in Korea LEOTI - Death of a Leoti helicopter pilot, Chief Warrant Officer Carl Ventsam, 33, in Seoul, South Korea, came Sunday in a hospital in Seoul. He died of injuries suffered in a traffic accident the day before. Ventsam, serving his second tour of duty in Korea, was fatally injured when he lost control of a jeep he was driving. The vehicle went out of control, crashed into a fence, overturned, and pinned Ventsam underneath. He was a veteran of 13 years of service, and was a member of the 55th Aviation Company of the U.S. 8th Army. He had also served in Europe and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Mary, and three children, Christal, Michael, and April, all of Leoti; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ventsam, Leoti; and a brother, Larry, Wichita County.
