More detail on this person: Mr Nick Wesley Vollman, 81 DEATHS Texarkana Gazette (TX) - Wednesday, April 4, 2007 Nick Wesley Vollman, 81, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at his home. Mr. Vollman was born Dec. 13, 1925, in O w e n s b o r o , Ky. He was a retired major with the Army, retired from Red River Army Depot, a helicopter test pilot and a member of Maud Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one son, Nicky Vollman. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Nash Vollman of Maud; one daughter, Lisa Scafella of Redwater, Texas; two granddaughters, Nikki and Rebecca Mathis; three great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kaitlyn and Kyla; two nieces, Cindy Terry and Paula Portlese; and a number of other relatives. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Maud Church of Christ with Jay Launius and Jeremy Ashlin officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Center Ridge Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
