More detail on this person: Cw4 Richard Dick Melvin Weiland Jr, 58 FUNERAL NOTICES Palm Beach Post, The (FL) - Sunday, December 7, 2003 58, of Boynton Beach passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Dick proudly served as a Army Helicopter Pilot for over 28 years having completed numerous tours in Vietnam and Desert Shield/Storm. He is survived by his loving mother, Mabel; 2 children, Lisa Marie Weiland and Richard Melvin Weiland, III; 3 grandchildren, Kailyn, Sarah and Lillian; 4 siblings, Sandra Van Vorst, Deborah Solomon, Randall Weiland and Ronald Weiland; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 25, 1280 N. Congress Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Attn. VVA Scholarship Fund, VVA Education Program or National Task Force on Homeless Veterans in Dick's memory.
