More detail on this person: Jerry Lynn Watson, 63 DEATHS Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - Thursday, September 6, 2001 MARKED TREE - Jerry Lynn Watson, 63, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Marked Tree, department manager for Honeywell and retired from the Army after 27 years, died of cancer Sunday at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home with burial in Marked Tree Cemetery. He was a member of Marked Tree First United Methodist Church. He received numerous medals while in the Army, including a bronze star, flying cross and the Vietnam Service Medal with five bronze stars. Mr. Watson, the husband of Shirley Lillard Watson, also leaves three sons, Jerry Lynn Watson Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Jeffrey L. Watson of Fayetteville, N.C., and Paul Edwin Watson of Colorado Springs; his mother, Anne Watson of Marked Tree; two sisters, Jerita Tilley of Marked Tree and Marie Lovelace of Horseshoe Lake; two brothers, Jimmy Watson of St. Louis and Mike Watson of Atlanta, and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Pikes Peak Hospic
