More detail on this person: Richard B Ward Rick, of Clarksville, Tn. died after a long illness. He was buried with full military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Rick was born in Fresno, Ca. and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Ward, Sr. Rick served 26 years in the U.S. Army, including two tours of duty in Vietnam, with the 1st Infantry Division and 1st Aviation Battalion. He was the recipient of numerous medals including the Air Medal "V" Device and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Survivors include his mother, Louise Ward of Clovis; his wife Ullrike of Tn.; daughters, Mary Terry and her husband Brad of Al., and Kristy Daulton and her husband Sean of Tn.; brother, Dennis Ward, Jr. and his wife Leta of Clovis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Remembrances may be made to Veterans Memorial Museum, 2425 Fresno St., Fresno, Ca. 93721. Published in the Fresno Bee on February 19, 2012
