More detail on this person: Stephen H Wilton Helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Went back to school several years after returning and became an elementary school teacher. Died of Hodgkin's disease. Per US Dept. of Veterans Affairs: " Veterans who develop Hodgkin's disease (also called Hodgkin's lymphoma) and were exposed to Agent Orange or other herbicides during military service do not have to prove a connection between their disease and military service to be eligible to receive VA health care and disability compensation". The Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academy of Sciences concluded in its 1994 report on "Veterans and Agent Orange: Health Effects of Herbicides Used in Vietnam" and in future updates that there is sufficient evidence of a positive association between exposure to the herbicides used in Vietnam and the development of Hodgkin's disease." This policy was not in effect at the time of Stephen's illness and death. Steve was greatly loved and respected by his friends and family, especially by many from his Class of 1968 at Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
