More detail on this person: Garland Dean "Jack" Wagner Garland Dean "Jack" Wagner, CW4, Ret., passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 5, 2009, at home in Durango, Texas. Graveside services with full military honors will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Carolina Cemetery in Durango. John Michalak and Col. (Ret.) Manny Carnero will be officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. The family will receive guests and celebrate Jack's life at Jody Gilliam's home following the service. Jack was born in Liberty, Mo., to the late Garland and Venice Wagner. He grew up and attended school in Liberty. Jack served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army and retired with 31 years of military service. He was a pilot during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Air Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. After the military, Jack was an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad and retired in 1989. He was a life-time member of the Confederate Air Force and was a member of the Marlin Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing and visiting with friends. Jack is preceded in death by his twin brother, Jerry Wagner; and younger brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Robbie Wagner, of Durango; daughters, Kay English, of Waco, and Jody Gilliam-Morris, of Chilton; sons, Clay Wagner and Dub Wagner, both of Durango; grandchildren, Elizabeth English, of Waco, Lauren English, of College Station, Sarah English Reeves, of Virginia Beach, Madison Wagner, of Westphalia, Tyler Wagner, of Belton, and Tanner Wagner, of China Spring; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Olson.
