More detail on this person: Lt. Col. (retired) Joseph Homer Wall, 71, of Ocean Springs, MS was taken into his heavenly Father's arms with his loving wife, Vivian, by his side at 12:20 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012. Joe was born August 2, 1941 in Biloxi, MS to the late Selby Spivey and Lou Edith Wall. He served in the US Army from 1961 until 1981. Joe received several military medals of Honor during his career. His military career also included flying Army 1, Presidential Helicopter for Presidents, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Wall, with whom they would have shared their 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. He is also survived by his son, Derek Wall (Christine) and daughter, Joanna Williams (Paul); step-daughters, Michell Harvey (Philip) and Tanya Beech (Terry) and seven grandchildren, Zane Williams, Dianna Williams, Megan Harvey, Destin Beech, Crystal Beech, Slade Beech, Cruz Beech and sister, Martha.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made in Joe's honor to Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS.
